I still can see my photo on the link still.

Then you probably have a caching issue with your PC or Browser - try clearing the caches

You will just have to wait for Google to clear there cache and in Google Images it takes a lot longer for them to remove the images than it does for them to remove posts. If you hadn't deleted the blog you could have used the URL removal tool in Google Webmasters, you could still try that though if you have a Gmail account.
