During the blog name change you had the opportunity to either keep the old address as well as the new one, or delete the old one. Once you choose to delete the old one and go through with the renaming, the old one is permanently gone.

			<description><![CDATA[<p>First I had kareit.wordpress.com then I found out kareit means "spiritual death or excommunication" in the Jewish faith.  I'm not Jewish but I thought maybe I wouldn't be comfortable with a word that meant that in any language.  So, I changed my blog name to kareip.  After I thought about this for awhile though I realized that when you pronounce that word it sounds like creep.  I don't want that either.  I'd rather have kareit back.  Is there any way I can do this or is it too late?  If too late I will have to use a new blog service in order to still use kareit, right?
