To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.

It's used for ads but after doing some research I found that ads are totally not allowed on WP if you don't have a VIP account. So well that nullifies the point of plugins alogether!

I didn't even know that it wasn't free because it didn't state anywhere.
