Unless you see "WordPress.com" what you find does not apply. These are the differences: WordPress.com vs WordPress.org

I want to use one of my own images as my facebook link in my sidebar instead of the facebook logo or badge they provide. HOW do i do this? ? I was hoping to be able to assign a link address to the image in my media folder but not seeing that option....ideas?

You can upload an image and then link it to your Facebook profile page or fan page. You can use an image widget or a text widget to display it in your sidebar.

Here’s how to link your username to your blog in your blog Dashboard -> Users -> Personal Settings -> then scroll down to Account Details. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Primary Blog‘ select the URL for your primary wordpress.com blog and then save changes.
