Meaning, I won't be able to create a list of links, link categories,etc. in the near future. Is this correct?

If so, is there a plugin that someone might recommend to replicate this feature so I don't have to lose it? Or, is WordPress going to offer another way of handing the display of links (by categories, etc.) within WordPress moving forward?
