I do have a workaround for you via Google Translate. You cannot use the JavaScript embed directly from Google, but some WordPress.com users have found a way:

Also, we don't allow plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons. Plugins are a feature only available for self-hosted blogs provided through WordPress.org.
