Notifications for the post published when your site is set to private will not go out to subscribers.

(backdated or not, I mean...actually I didn't know it was possible to back date posts!) Sometimes I have wanted to make a very mundane, brief note but I didnt want subscribers to get spammed with a "gone fishing, back soon" type of post... this sounds like a great workaround...
