With a custom excerpt you can put as much or as little of each post as you would like. Including pictures. (embeds won't work in excerpts—youtube for example) Type what you want to show, including the pictures (width=200px) then copy the html from the text editor and paste it into the excerpt module.

I use Imbalance and am not aware that the theme has changed.

Thanks for quick your reply!
The problem is not that my post's are to long - the problem is that the Imbalance blog look, has changed. Which mean my earlier blog post shows a lot of imagery - and since I have created a blog to show my design, the look of it should be very visually...

Is it me not understanding what you are suggesting, or
???

In the beginning my blog showed every image uploaded in a post.
Now it will only show the image if you click on the title - that makes my blog boring, as it only shows text...
Please let me know how I get it more lively...

The Sight theme displays only beginnings of posts on the front page of the theme as that's the way it's designed. Click the theme title link in the footer on you blog are read the theme description:

The Sight theme has an active excerpt box and that means you can use it to override the display on the front page.On any theme with an active excerpt box you can use this workaround to have full posts on the front page.

You compose your whole post first and before you publish it you switch to the HTML (Text) editor, copy all the code, paste it into the Excerpt box below the posts editor, and publish the post. http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/excerpts/#creating-excerpts

If you do not see an excerpt box then go to screen options on the top right hand corner of your Admin page and include:
Post – Likes and Shares, Format*, Categories, Tags, Excerpt, Send Trackbacks, Discussion, Comments**, Slug, Author, Revisions, Writing Helper

P.S. On themes that do have an active excerpt function, the workaround works very well but you have to do it on every post you create.

To add a post to the slider, mark it as sticky and give it a featured image.
