Surprisingly no response. They've been quick to reply until now. I have since noticed that only 25 of 100s of posts exported. Not even sure if transferring is worth it.

Thanks for following up :)

The instructions are found here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/import/
When you have problems we Volunteers so not have backend access to blogs. That means you go directly to Staff. Here’s the link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox and type in "Typepad import issue" at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.

The uploader is demanding for TypePad's .xml export file.

It is good that you're moving to wordpress.com. Follow the steps to get your complete Typepad.com blog ported to wordpress.com:

1. Login to TypePad and go to
Weblogs | Manage | Import/Export.

2. At the bottom of the page, (probably) look for the “Export:Your-Blog-Name” link. If you’re using IE, right-click
and Save as; otherwise, you can
right-click and Save as or just open the link in your browser.

3. Save the file to your desktop with a .xml extension.

That’s it for the export. That file
contains all of your posts, categories, comments, etc. Amazing how so much work can be pared down into such a small file, isn’t it?
Now continue the work by uploading that file to your dashboard.
