First you need to export your old posts from LJ as an .XML file from http://www.livejournal.com/export.bml

Then, when you've set up your WP blog, you upload the file in your WordPress Dashboard > Manage > Import > LiveJournal. It might take a while if you've got 6 years of posts, so best to do it early morning US time when the servers aren't as busy.

I'd love to have a WordPress blog, but not if it means losing my past entries. Is it possible to import them all to this blog? I can't seem to find anything on it in the forums or the FAQs.
