I don't know why it shows a list of wordpress users before it shows forum results.

It combines all four searches into one page. Search for users, terms in post title, recent posts, and revelent posts.

+1 for widening the number of results though. :)

it's hard to search for answer first.

Agreed but from my experience with this forum, folks who are asking, aren't searching. Usually the thread that has the answer is number one or number two on one of those searches.

I'm sure people are searching though. We're only 25k posts in with 200+k users. We would have a lot more threads and posts here if they weren't.

I don't know why it shows a list of wordpress users before it shows forum results. That doesn't make any sense to me at all.

Try searching on 'weather' and you'll find about 8 accounts with weather in the name, all of which have been suspended or deleted.

Kind of pointless.

Although it does explain why the same questions keep showing up in support -- it's hard to search for answer first.

Currently the forum search box is showing only 5 results. I would like this to be increased to 10. I know there are threads on things I'm looking for and quick retrieval is not happening because I have to google search after I forum search. It's become so annoying that I'm actually making note of some threads on topics I think may come up again off-line (with a pen and yellow sticky notes - arrggghhh!).
