This "limitation" does give rise to remembrance of the "sideblog" issue or shall I just zip my lip on that viv? (lol) Anyway when Fauns beta 5 is released with all the built in customizeable features, asides, heart marked favorite posts and changeable headers to boot it may provide a solution. This time, I dropped it at the bottom of the list. Note that the Feed thingee is now at the bottom of the page.

When I dropped it in before that last text box, it caused the last text box to go up to the top of the sidebar and show up underneath my About box.

Still don't know what to say about the widget issue that vivianpaige is seeing. I have other things I want to stick in the sidebar. This could be a problem.

It seems that there is something in the length of the sidebar that is limited. I put another text widget into my sidebar (one containing subscriptions) and it forced the last one up to the top underneath my About text box.

Yep. Thought about the number of posts displayed. Figured people looking for medical information would want as much as possible. I have a dial-up connection (Gasp! I know, I know). Not very many images so the site loads OK. Guess I'm my own guinea pig in that respect.

I'll check out the thread you suggested and give it some more thought. Anything that makes my visitors more comfortable is fine by me. Thanks for the tip.

The length of your front page is dictated by the number of posts that you specify to be displayed on your front page -> dashboard -> options -> reading - > reading options -> blog pages - > show at most [ ] posts.

Somewhere in the forum search box you'll find a thread that indicates a lower number of posts is preferred by readers. Keep the length of time to load the page on dial-up service in mind. Also note that most folks don't want to scroll down for more than a few articles.
