I am really new on css, but try that, it works for me to increase the slideshow (to 1000px).
Unfortunetly, i don't find how to delete the padding box around.

Currently on my site, I have structured my Portfolio page to be the landing page and it has a set of images that run as a slideshow. I'd liked to increase the size of these images so that they appear larger than currently are.

I'd also like to know how to increase the size of individual images that appear in posts.
