Thanks guys. I hadn't even thought of the "stats" issue. I just wanted people to get a better reading and image experience than simply what they see on the email. Take care.

If I'm not mistaken, the WP.com Reader only shows a snippet of the post and not the entire post, unless the post is really short. You still have to click through to read more onsite.

There's another aspect to consider as well ie. page view stats. Likes and shares numbers are misleading when you consider page view stats. Your followers and anyone with a WordPress.com blog who is logged into WordPress.com can "like" and "share" your posts in several locations such as the Reader without ever clicking into your blog and creating a page view stat. Those who have username accounts only but no blog can become followers and click the "like" and/or "share" buttons. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/07/09/wordpress-followers-likes-and-stats/

Note: To compel readers to click into my blog to read the full post thereby creating a page view stat, I have set my RSS Feed for posts to “summary” on this page > Settings > Reading

Can I set my blog so that when people "Follow" via email notification of new posts they only receive a notification via a link they can click on to see the post in WordPress. I'm finding that people don't realize they can click on the Title of the email notification and go to the post. Instead they are just reading the post in the email and missing out on all of the cool attributes of my WordPress theme, etc.
