There are no plugins on WordPress.com. If you have your wp.ORG site up and running you need to ask for help in their forums.

wp.com are completely separate, and different from each other. What info applies here won't work there, and vice versa.

I understand now that WP.com does not allow plug-ins.

I will be adding a Gift Certificate plug-in to an existing WP.org business Web Site, and was using the WP.com to learn the system.

I still need help with the question about dropping the entire extracted zip file folder into the plug-in spot.

The directions say to "Extract the zip file and just drop the contents in the wp-content/plugins/ directory of your WordPress installation".

When you look at the example, their is a icon for Plug-ins under the Dashboard.

How do you create the place for Plug-ins under the Dashboard?

There are multiple files in the extracted zip file folder - Do you drop the entire folder into that Plug-in area under the dashboard?
