In your custom design upgrade you have a little box in which you type any css code you want to add to your style sheet. Type this in:

.featured-image {display: none;}

It worked on my test. Let us know if this solved it.

I want my blog to be text only so I was wondering whether it is possible to use CSS to modify the theme so that only the title and the text shows
