I would like to implement a schedule, I was thinking about using the 'archives' shortcode in a text widget but I discovered I can't filter by category/tag the posts displayed there.

I would like something like the "Recent Posts Widget" but filtering by just one category.

An example: I create a post under the category "Schedule" and the "Schedule" widget only displays the posts of that category.

Anyway, I'm just wondering about. See ya! ;-)
