However you don't need widgets to display images on individual pages - just put images on them!

I'm using my widget area to display images. Is there anyway to have different images in the widget area on different pages of my blog? It's a book site and it would be nice to have an image of the book jacket on the opening page and maybe an author image on the 'About Author' page. I'm not upgraded to CSS or anything. Just thought I'd check if there was a simple way of doing this. I'm using the Shaan theme right now but don't mind changing.
