That way if the publishing doesn't work I at least have something to cut and paste from once I get it going again.

I know that this is not the same problem but it has has saved me a few times and is way better than finding your hard work has just disappeared.

Yes, I did post in NewDash. I believe it took me about 45 mins to about an hour considering the post was indeed long. I think I have about a few tabs open while typing the whole time though I wasn't navigating from one tab to another every now and then.

Hope this gets resolved soon. I love WordPress and it's just disappointing to be a victim of this very crucial issue. Thanks.

How long did it take for you to write the content? An hour? About 45 minutes? 20 minutes? Any kind of ballpark figure will help us out!

While you were writing, did you navigate away from the page?

While you were writing, did you switch to a different active browser screen (say you had multiple tabs open)?

If it's not in your Trash file or Revisions, and you can't back arrow to it, I'm afraid you're out of luck. There are dozens and dozens of people complaining of this problem, using the WordPress front page or the New Post button on the Admin bar.

I can't tell you how many people are running into exactly this problem. The New Post page on your dashboard works with the autosave. Nothing else seems to.

I followed your instructions and saw 2 versions of my post - the current one and an 'autosaved' version. However even the auto-saved version contained nothing except the title, exactly the same as the current one. Ugh.

Then select the post and page modules to include them. http://en.support.wordpress.com/modules/#list-of-modules Then you ought to be able to go here > Dashboard > All Posts > Posts and locate the post and recover it from post revisions.

Did you create your post on the dashboard of your own blog?
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New

Or did you create your post on the front page of WordPress.com?

The moment I published my post, it says it 'did' publish my post but when I clicked to view it, it only showed the Title of my post! I clicked to Edit but there really was no content! It was a quite long blog post. In fact during the whole time I was typing, it kept saying that my post is being saved every few minutes. I also checked the Drafts section but can't find even a copy of it. I tried doing sample posts, and it's the same result - only the title is being captured/shown! Please do something about it and advise. It was very disappointing. Thanks.
