It's not a good thing in the sense that it's unprofessional, but it's a good thing in the sense that you've done nothing wrong yourself and WP will eventually take heed and fix things.

I'm not sure why, but the layout of my homepage is out of whack. I didn't change anything but now my menu has been moved over to the left and my twitter widgets are on the right column as opposed to the bottom of my feed.

I followed WordPress' instructions to try and identify the problem. It doesn't seem to be an issue with any one post, but rather with some general layout.
