@westi Thank you

If I can't get deeper support from Wix or if their "system" does not allow me to effectively point to WordPress, then I'll transfer my .net domain name to NameSecure. It's where I have my .com domain.

@acousticenergy you have configured your domain incorrectly at your domain registrar so that it is pointed at the IP address of one of our nameservers. You need to reconfigure it so that it has it's nameservers setup to be our nameservers.

Currently the nameservers for jamesolmos.net are set to ns1.wix.com. and ns2.wix.com. these need to be set to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM, NS2.WORDPRESS.COM, and NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

For now I have switched the Primary Domain for your blog back to: http://acousticenergy.wordpress.com/ so you can access it by that url again.

Once you have corrected the nameservers you can then switch the primary domain back to jamesolmos.net

@timethief Thanks for flagging this thread. @auxclass The "redirects" point to the three WordPress IP address found here http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/

Wix support said everything is setup correctly on their end. WordPress accepted my domain name and I paid the fee to use the name. Yet, it's not working.

Tumblr accepted my domain name and it pointed to my blog at their site, with no problem. It basically had the same setup too, minus the fee. I would rather have my domain point to my WordPress blog.

I appreciate any insight.

Kind regards ~

A whois shows the name servers pointing to ns1.wix.com with your jamesolmos.net name. Do you have any redirects at your registrar? Pointing to wix.com should not work correctly - they should point to WordPress.COM.

I added my domain to WordPress a few days ago, but it keeps pointing to WordPress.com and not my blog. So, I can't even view my blog because every time I type my personal domain jamesolmos.net or acousticenergy.wordpress.com - both open WordPress.com

I followed the directions at http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/
