Appearance > Menus
locate the page you do not want to display in the custom menu. Click to open, once opened click "remove". When that box closes do the next page you don't want to be displayed and repeat. When all are done click the big blue "save menu" button.

If they are not here Dashboard > All Pages then they will not display in the custom menu pages module.

If they have not been permanently deleted from Trash you can restore them so they appear here again Dashboard > All Pages then they will display in the custom menu pages module.

I'm 'trying to create a wbs site. Only the menu was deleted - the pages are still there. BUT not showing in the Appearance-> Menu -> (left hand) page 'box' for me to drag and drop into the (right hand) Menu box.

I'm going round in circles (for a change) . All help appreciated

They must be public pages – not private.
Public – The page will be visible to everyone.
Protected – The page is protected with a password you set. Only people who have the password can view a protected page.
Private – Pages are only visible to blog Editors and Administrators. Private pages are not visible in Reader, feeds, or in any search. A page can be private without being password protected.

If you deleted the Pages permanently then they cannot be displayed. if you did not permanently delete them you can restore them from Trash.

Can you locate them here? Dashboard > Pages > All Pages?

You can look in the last autosave for Pages » Page Revisions

If you don’t find the post or page then it could be in your trash.
