I stated I want the new blog address to be "nereyes.wordpress.com" and to add it to my wordpress.com account (where I currently have two blogs: http://waltjean.wordpress.com/ and http://buchanansf.wordpress.com/ -- but I don't need any help with them).

I want to move the content from an existing PHP site to a new WP blog under my account. When I add the blog and enter the blog address, I'm asked if I already own this domain and want to map it. If I check yes, will I be able to get the content moved to the new WP blog before the actual domain re-mapping happens? I looked at this support page and didn't see anything about that.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/add-a-domain/

I first tried making the blog URL match the domain name so it would be "nereyes.wordpress.com" white setting it up, then I could map the "nereyes.com" domain to it when ready. But WordPress says that site is already taken.
