Hi there,

Your domain appears to be working properly. I see your WordPress.com site when I visit http://dianablairrevell.com/

When a new domain is registered or altered, there is a process called propagation, where information about the domain name is passed to internet service providers all over the world. This process can take up to 72 hours (though usually much less). During that time, you may also receive a warning message in your browser about "redirect errors". Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your internet service provider updates their records. Please rest assured that everything is proceeding normally with your domain.

You can continue to update your site while your custom domain propagates, by going directly to your Dashboard, here:
https://dianablairrevell.wordpress.com/wp-admin/

Please let us know if you have any more questions!

Best,

Okay! I "cancelled" my Intuit website and I changed the nameservers on my domain to those you gave me. When I present the URL for my old domain, the front page of my Intuit website opens (which I thought would not show up again)--no instructions for the visitor on how to get to my WordPress site. However, if I click on "About Me" (on the old website menu), I go directly to "About" on my WordPress site. What I really want is for the old domain to throw me, immediately, to my latest blog post. How do I get that done?

Right, Intuit will still act as your domain registrar, but your site will be hosted on WordPress.com. This means that you'll need to renew your domain registration through Intuit, as well as purchasing the Domain Mapping upgrade through WordPress.com. Hope that helps to clarify! :)

Thank you, coffeemanmatt! So what does this quote from the instructions mean? "The Domain Mapping fee is not related to the domain registration costs – you will have to continue managing your domain with your current registrar." I procured and registered the referred-to domain with Intuit...This sounds like I have to maintain a relationship with that host...No?

Hi there,

You sure can!

What you can do is follow the instructions here to map your existing domain to your WordPress.com blog.
