I am currently trying to become a partner on Youtube; I just started this endeavor, but I learned that you cannot have music covers of any songs on Youtube as a partner, whether that's playing them on your instrument, singing them or both. Being a musician, this naturally bummed me out because covers were a big part of my show, I don't have a lot of original songs, I'm not really a songwriter, I just like playing the instrument & doing covers, so I've been trying to figure out how to upload my covers to the internet without loosing a potential Youtube partnership. Then I saw the Videopress option here.

So I guess my question is: Is it ok to upload videos of you playing covers of various songs as long as you give proper credit on WordPress/Videopress?

I don't know if it helps that you know I bought my own domain name, so it's kind of like my own website. I think, I'm new to this whole site, I really like it so far though!

Anyways, I was hoping it would be alright if I wrote my blog & uploaded various videos of me playing covers with my violin of different songs & singing them. Or would WordPress not allow it?
