The instructions say to make a page, but a post will do the same trick. Just remember to backdate it to be your very first post, so it will not show unless someone really peruses your blog.

As to 'getting rid' of the gray pagerank bar, there's no other cure than continuing to post quality content that people may want to link to.

I've read that this is either because Google has not indexed the site yet or the site is banned because of use of black hat techniques, ways to abuse search engine results. My blog is indeed indexed as I can find it by searching for "kitty whisperwind". I just found out what SEO is and I have definitely not attempted any black hat SEO. A gray pagerank can be reconsidered by Google, but I have to get my blog added into Google Webmaster Tools first, something I can't do because I cannot modify my html. I'm totally lost as to what to do right now. This could prevent me from getting the hits I could be getting and might be the reason why sites I link to don't link back to me. I don't even know why my pagerank is gray in the first place. Is it possible to get rid of my gray pagerank? Help would be greatly appreciated.
