Again, what browser and version are you using? I just pasted a very long document in the Paste from Word window and the scroll bar appeared and the Insert button remained at the bottom. I'm using FF15 at the moment.

Certainly it is not in the least user friendly, especially for us 'non-techie' types. Very disappointed. I find it all confusing and awkward, and often impossible to find things that should be simple to find. Anyway, Jennifer, thank you for trying. After a few days on here I'm pretty much done.

I'm afraid I have to use Word. I'm a writer, and Word is what I use. My posts are currently excerpts or selections from an upcoming self-published book. So the idea of writing the posts in something else just doesn't make sense.

First of all, you say "from Word". Are you using LiveWriter to publish or Word? If Word, then you should be using the "Paste from Word" button in the second row of icons in the Visual Post Editor, otherwise all kinds of junk code gets inserted.

I have regular, ordinary posts, relatively short, from Word, no unusual embedded images or any links, and they won't publish. The 'attempting to publish' indicator symbol just keeps going around and around and around. Doesn't matter how long I wait; that inability to publish continues. Haven't had this problem before. The pieces are simple cut and pastes from standard Word documents. Thanks!
