I renewed it the following day, but it is still showing my old wordpress site as it was before i originally signed up for the hosting in 2011 & had a guided transfer to wordpress.org.
I contacted bluehost & they said that they problem is that my name servers are pointing to wordpress.com & that they need to point to bluehost.
they said to contact wordpress to have this change made.
Please help asap.

If you bought the domain from WordPress, then you probably bought it through the wordpress.com account and not here at wordpress.org. You would need to log into your wordpress.com account instead or ask them for help.
