I need to build a new website. I have an .asp website right now running on a Windows server (at NTT/Verio hosting). I want to do a whole new website in PHP or something else besides ASP. I need a CMS so that I can make the updates myself. I need a page to archive my pre-recorded podcasts and videos for on-demand listening and viewing and/or downloading. I need a fully-functional shopping cart where they can buy books and media, with automated credit card processing and audio file and eBook download capability. I do not know if WordPress can do all this at a reasonable monthly rate. I am only paying $20 a month for the present site. I already have a merchant account for credit card processing, and an SSL to secure my shopping cart once it is all set up for me. Should I go with WordPress, or have someone custom build a new site for me?
