The error you're seeing from Google is actually very misguided, and what we're doing is quite normal.

When you connect to your Dashboard over an HTTPS connection, we use an SSL certificate to encrypt your connection. SSL certificates need to be signed to a specific domain, and we can't provide certificates for every mapped domain, so our certificate is signed for WordPress.com.

The certificate is only used when you connect to your Dashboard via your own domain.

Strangely, I checked my Google Webmaster Tools notifcations only the other day and I had none. Today I had 5 - one a month since January, all unopened.

So there is something odd on the Google side as well, methinks.

Since this apparently has to do with WordPress.com sites that have a domain name upgrade, I've tagged this for Staff attention.

And I find it curious that since you both have the upgrade, you were not able to log a support ticket initially, unless something's changed in that area as well.

I have the same problem.

Email from Google is

Googlebot noticed your site host name, https://teamoyeniyi.com/, does not match your SSL certificate Subject Name
May 16, 2012

Dear Webmaster,

The host name of your site, https://teamoyeniyi.com/, does not match any of the "Subject Names" in your SSL certificate, which were:
•*.wordpress.com
•wordpress.com
This will cause many web browsers to block users from accessing your site, or to display a security warning message when your site is accessed.

To correct this problem, please get a new SSL certificate by a Certificate Authority (CA) with a "Subject Name" or "Subject Alternative DNS Names" that matches your host name.

Thanks,

The Google Web Crawling Team

I tried to lodge a support ticket but the form is not displaying properly.
