It's easy to miss the Writing Helper dialogue if it's not open: and the disclosure triangle only appears when you hover over the Writing Helper module header.

Also I have noted that when you copy a page in this way the page attributes are NOT copied: you have to set the parent, for example, and amend the tick boxes under 'Discussion'. So effectively it just seems to copy whatever is contained in the page title and the content boxes.

In your Dashboard, click on Pages>Copy a Page. That will open the Page editor. You should see the "Writing Helper" in the bottom part of that page. Open it and select the Page you wish to Copy as a template.

This is not a perfect system, and I do not know exactly what is copied as a result, and unfortunately, do not have time at the moment to experiment, but give it a try.

I did follow your instructions, but I don't see that option for pages, only for posts. The problem is that I don't want to simply copy the content; I'd like to copy the attributes, etc, too. I'd like to use one fully formatting, "perfect" page as a template - sort of a work-around since I don't now how to make a template.

That shouldn't be the problem. But why would you not just Edit the post, copy all the contents, and paste that into a new Page?

Pages are designed to be static, eternal. If you need something up to the minute, use posts.

I tried that, but is seems to be relevant only to posts. Could that be? I've organized my site with all static pages, and no posts. Could this be the problem?

Look at the bottom part under the edit window. You should see a module called "Writing Helper". If it isn't open, click on it.

If you don't see the module at all, click on the "Screen Options" tab in the upper right corner of your screen and make sure "Writing Helper" is checked.

I see the instructions for copying a page, but not for copying a post. When I go to Dashboard>Pages>Copy, nothing seems to happen (except I get a New Page). Any suggestions?
