I have flagged this thread so our Moderators will move it to the Themes Forum for you where Themes Staff will respond to you. In fact all themes here are unique and the features the theme designer chose to include were at their discretion. We cannot edit themes or templates and make any functional changes to them. Only Staff can access those files and as all blogs wearing the same theme are using the same template any editing Staff does affects all blogs wearing the same theme. Also not that CSS editing can only be used to change appearance and nothing more.
From the Themes Gallery > Under the Influence

Do you mean the vertical line showing at the bottom of your home page, between the bottom post and the footer? That's part of the theme, and will separate the navigation links for older/newer posts, once you post enough to have them move onto the next page. (If that doesn't make sense, I use Under the Influence as well, so click on my username to see what I mean.)

I agree, it's a little annoying when there are only a few posts, especially since it's the same on archive pages as well. As far as I know it can't be changed (except maybe if you know CSS and have the upgrade), but if anyone knows differently I'm happy to be corrected!
