This is the correct forum for your software http://wordpress.ORG/support/ If you have not registered a WordPress.org username account yet you can do so on the top right hand corner of the page I just linked to so you can post to those support forums.

I have a domain through a host site which allows you to install wordpress, when I first logged in wordpress gave me options to change my theme, add widgets etc, these options now seem to have dissapeared and when I go to write new posts it says I dont have a blog to post to?

Again please excuse my ignorance, would appreciate any advice.
