Your login is only effective when posting to free hosted WordPress.com blogs. It's not effective when you post to WordPress.org installs. Read this please > http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

Trying to post comments on Blogger blogs is a drag. Open ID fails more often than it works. Blogspot software thinks we all have a single username here at wordpress.com and a single blog by the same matching name. It will not accept any other URL. So if we have a domain or more than one blog registered under the same WordPress.com username trying to comment becomes impossible.

Unless the blogger chooses to enable commenters to post with a username and URL on their Blogger blog it's next to impossible to leave a comment. The only workaround is to register a Blogger blog which will allow you to comment but your username will not be linked to your WordPress.com blog when you do.

I do not have a blog ...yet. Altho i thought i might when i first signed onto WordPress, it was for access to friends' blogs and to be able to reply/comment. I am more or less permanently connected WordPress.com and successfully use that ID and my avatar to comment on several blog sites. Others simply refuse to recognize me. When i try to publish, they say "log in at WordPress;" so i double check and the WP page says, Welcome Pablo with my little symbol. So i try to publish and the blog responds, "you must sign in first." In the blank marked WordPress i.d., i re-type my username and it erases everything after telling me. "You do not own that name." The erasing part has been the most frustrating, until i learned the trick of always writing first in MSWord; don't trust WP... BUT, can you help me get it to publsih with my I.D. ? Thank you.
