Ok, two different topics here. :)

Crosswalk, the order of the pages are set by the theme designer or they fall back to the WP default which I believe is Home and then alphabetical. Without editing the theme, there's not a whole lot you can do about it.

WorldWords, to add the categories to your sidebar, please use the Category widget. You'll find this in your Dashboard -> Presentation -> Sidebar Widgets if the theme you are using supports widgets.

Hope this helps,

Mwuahahaha, first let me say sorry about this one person topic. I am quite amused. Anyways, my issues have been resolved by choosing another theme, but I hope this issue does bring to light the issue with other themes and the alphabetizing of pages instead of id ordering.

Woah, I just noticed my repost was a broken paragraph. This is the completion of the first sentence.

Perhaps I have found a bug in the templates, but I noticed that in a couple of the themes, namely Blix and Fauna (I did not test all of them, I mearly stumbled onto these themes being organized according to the number I assigned it) actually reorder the pages for what I determine, but all others (again, I did not test all themes) alphabetize the pages.

And for those of you that5 may be aggrivated at my many posts, I just noticed the 'Edit' link for my posts, so my apologies.

Is this a bug in the Theme or what? Any input would be appreciated, as I found nothing useful in the doc's for WP.com.

I have added a couple of pages, but cannot seem to have the 'Contact' page listed after 'Gallery', not before it. From what I am seeing, it is alphabetizing the pages, not using a number I asign it in the page edit section.

Can someone please enlighten me or teach me in the way I can do this?
