The defaults in Twenty Ten are:
table: 100% width, 1px light grey border around
each cell: top and bottom padding 6px, left and right padding 24px, 1px light grey border above only.

Do you want to change the padding only, or the width and the borders as well?

Hi There,

Apologies if this topic has already been discussed at length, but I'm new to WordPress.com and I am hoping someone can help me direct me to a previous thread that covers this:

I need to be able to create tables in my posts/pages but they always appear with awful spacing/formatting... Is there a general override HTML code to preface table HTML writing, or will the post/page table HTML always be overwritten by the what is in TwentyTen's CSS? Is the only solution to get the $30 editing upgrade that grants me access to Twenty Ten's CSS data and edit/remove the table format defaults?

Thanks for any help!

Best,

D.
