I am using oxygen theme. I want to have the slider post in my front page. But just the slider nothing more.

Anyone knows if it is possible to make the slider as a "full width" page? because from what i have understood, the slider only appears if i define the page as a showcase page. If i do that, i will have the categories and archives on my left side, blogrool etc on my right side.

I only want a front page with a slider once this is supposed to be a website and not a blog.
