Hi, I managed to make the slider works, but as you can see, there is nothing under "recent articles", no quick view or nothing. I checked from other users, on the showcase page, there will also be brief view of each articles under "recent articles" column.
How do i make that? Thanks for your help!

Thank you very much 'thesacredpath' I really appreciate the help! I didn't realize the "sticky" was hidden to the right side on each blog post. I knew the answer would be staring me in the face.

@thesacredpath OH! Thanks a lot for mentioning the "Post thumbnails are 470 pixels wide, unless you make the post Sticky to show off in the featured slider, in which case they’re 750 pixels wide. Keep in mind: if you mark a post as Sticky but the featured image is less than 750 pixels wide, then it won’t display in the slider and will still disappear from the river of posts." part! I stickied a post, but it didn't appear on the Showcase, but that reason was because the featured image was under 750px! Thanks a lot!

1. Set a featured image on the post and make sure it is at least 750px wide.

2. Set that post as a sticky post.

3. Repeat 1 and 2 above for all posts you want in the slider. As you write new posts and add them to the slider, I would suggest "unsticking" the oldest post on the slider so you don't get too many up there and slow your site down. I suggest no more than 5 on the slider at any one time.

Yeah, I had read this quite a few times and quite frankly I still don't get it. I know how to make a page the "Showcase Page" however from there I just don't understand how to get the slider. Is the slider a tool that I can insert photos into or do I have to reformat all of my blog posts so that the photos I want to show up in the slideshow are from posts made "Sticky." If so, how do I make the posts sticky?

I swear I'm not totally incompetent, this just seems to be alluding me!

This is covered in the theme showcase page for oxygen.

The Showcase Page template offers a featured slider for Sticky Posts. To use the template, create or edit a page, and assign it to the Showcase Page template from the Page Attributes module. If you’d like use the Showcase Page template on your front page, go to Settings → Reading and set the Front page option to Static Page. Select the page you just assigned the Showcase Page template to as your front page and then choose another page to serve as your blog page.

To get the most of this theme, setting Featured Images is important.

I'm using the Oxygen theme and cannot figure out how to format the custom slider that they highlight in their sample page. Does someone have tips on how to make this function properly?
