First of all, thank you for your service here! Unfortunately I have two issues, both I believe addressed earlier and still neither have been resolved.

1) As for blog reading appearance, I want a summary of each article on the main page (the first paragraph or so) but the entire article is still appearing despite multiple attempts to change this in the settings. What else can I do to make this take effect? I've tried all the suggested solutions to the letter.

2) My selected avatar does not appear on comments I make and elsewhere, though it is the only photo I have uploaded. Instead I get a random generic avatar. This defeats the purpose. Again, I have made all the right selections to no avail.

Please advise....I am at my wits end!
