It's very difficult to ascertain why these people cannot comment because I can. These kind of questions arise:

How are those who cannot comment connecting to the internet and to WordPress.com? The way you connect to the internet (mobile, satellite, DSL, dial-up) and to your blog, and how many proxy server jumps etc. it takes to connect can cause problems. There maybe be problems with their ISP and/or with the proxy servers.

Which browser and version of it are they using? Have they tried clearing their browser cache and cookies? http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookies

Is their browser version up to date? They can upgrade any browser version here.
http://browsehappy.com/

Do they have another browser they can try?

They can use this link to see if their Flash is up to date. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ If it’s not up to date then this is where to download and install the latest version of Flash. http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/

Sometimes operating system and/or security system updates can cause problems so they need to check for known issues. When adjustments to browser settings — changing privacy settings, deleting cookies or increasing security firewalls, etc. are made they will need to restart the browser before those new settings become effective.

I have had several commenters PM me to tell me that they have been unable to write me comments recently. One has been with me from the beginning of my blog, mellissabo (or something like that) and the other is a new person. She told me on Twitter that her comment would not go in and the message said something like "invalid" something or other.

We joked about it, but I heard it AGAIN from an third person this morning. I am now PAYING for my site to work, and I don't like to hear from people that they can't post comments.

I know from my own experience that if it isn't easy to post comments, I don't usually go back!

Can you help?
