Thank you for catching those errors. I very much appreciate your help, both of you.

FWIW, to any other people who see coding talk and just space out, here is what I was looking for (from one "coding dummy" to another)...a Quick Start method:

Here is an example of a table code you can paste into your editor; this one gives your 2 rows, 3 columns across:

row 1, cell 1

row 1, cell 2

row 1, cell 3

row 2, cell 1

row 2, cell 2

row 2, cell 3

Replace each "row X, cell X" with a photo. Once you've done this, you can better visualize what does what and play around with making the table suit your needs.

"Just putting in photos with no alignment doesn't work at all."
Of course it doesn't.
Here's the page where it does (the one related to the "question like this" that rain and I answered yesterday):
http://fbclotro.wordpress.com/about-lotro-2/
And here is yours:
http://shadesofperegrine.wordpress.com/photography/
Can you tell what the crucial difference is?

Feedback: Just putting in photos with no alignment doesn't work at all. There is no organization to the scene at all (just FYI).

The table, however, did work - and was a lot easier than I was expecting. I still need some tweaks, but it's looking good. Nice and simple like I wanted. Thank you!

You can't do plugins at WP.com anyway, but Justpi and I answered a question like this yesterday.

My suggestion was to use a table. Justpi suggested a table wasn't necessary as long as you used "align none" on the pictures to make sure they weren't left or right aligned. Then they will just fit as many on a line as can fit. Click on each one and when the LINK button is enabled, put in there the link to the Flickr slideshow.

Normally, when you publish a photo on WordPress, you can link it to another website. Easy.

And I've discovered how to use the gallery function embedded in the WordPress Media editor. I'd like to combine those two things.

I'm trying to make a photo page with a grid of photos. I want the reader to be able to click on each photo for a unique slideshow related to the title image they clicked on.

Is there an easy way to do this? The gallery option seemed perfect, until I realized that it was replacing all my slideshow links with links to my blog (rather than to slideshows I have on Flickr). I'm fine if I have to do a plug-in, but I'd rather not buy one at this point if I don't have to. And I just keep finding lists of like 40 plug-ins and I've no idea which is what I would need.

Is this possible? It doesn't seem like it should due hard but...(sigh) And thanks.
