I'm still bummed that I can't embed Vimeo videos (which have just awesome compression compared to the options available today); I'll just add this to the pile.

Probably not. The issue though in this case is the embed tags.

Kamel, that's a valid point. In this case I'm just linking to an iMix by a DJ I particularly like, and which illustrates the point of the blog post in which it's contained. But I'd probably be the exception to the rule with this use of the embedding.

I know I could just include the link to the iMix and be done with it, but since it's such a nicely designed widget, I hoped I could include it in the post.

Hmm, that's a toughie. A quick looksee at the iTunes help files shows that you can use the links as "Send to a friend" links which wouldn't be commerical.

Do note that you can't use your wp.com blog to sell items off of. That is a violation of the ToS.

Granted though it is a single link and that would fall under the single affliate link in teh sidebar rule...

imix links lead to the itunes store to sell your readers the songs from your mix don't they?

wouldn't that violate the non-commercial nature of wordpress.com blogs?

It's the embed tag. Embeds are stripped from all user input due to security concerns.

Hmm, while the embed tag has been discussed many, many times over here in the forums, publishing from iTunes is a new one. We ususally get folks afting about the podcasts and all that. I would send in a feedback and make this suggestion to staff to support this. They seem to be working on support from sites outside of wp.com lately. They may do for this.

Using the Publish to the Web option on the iTunes Music Store, it generates code that you can supposedly plug into a blog post. But when I copy it into a post here on WordPress.com, it doesn't understand how to grok the code. Is there something special that needs to be done to the code to be able to post it? I tried cutting and pasting bits into place, but WordPress can't read the code.
