Yeah, I saw that too. Unfortunately, that means I need to teach my client about Microsoft Word's extra tagging and convince him to run stuff through Notepad, and that is going to be a huge pain.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

I don't believe there is as this is what I found:

Mail Formatting
Your email can be plain text or formatted. As much formatting as possible will be retained, although the Post by Email system will strip unnecessary HTML tags so that your email is displayed correctly. Note that you will need to use an email client that supports rich text or HTML formatting in order to make use of this feature. Most website based clients (Hotmail, Gmail) do support this, as do most desktop clients (Outlook, Mail). You may need to switch your client into rich text or formatted mode. http://en.support.wordpress.com/post-by-email/

I have set up Post by Email for my client, but there is Microsoft Word stuff carrying through to the post.

Specifically, I have a line that says:

New Service for Candidates<?XML:NAMESPACE PREFIX = O />

My guess is that XML bit came from a Word cut and paste.

Is there an automated way to remove alllll extra formatting from a Post by Email post? It needs to be automated - getting this client to run the text through Notepad will be excruciating if not impossible.

Thanks,
Kim
