You, sir or madam, are a lifesaver. Thank you very, very much. I must have clicked "aside" by mistake while posting from a laptop while seated on a couch full of dogs. I went from my dashboard, just as you described, changed the format from aside to standard, updated, and now the post displays normally.

This forum is awesome.

If you aren't successful locating the Aside post then you may be able to recover an earlier Post Revision. Go to Posts > All Posts, hover over the title of the post, click Edit and check the Post Revisions module for previous saved versions of the post. If you're not seeing the Revisions module while on the editor screen, click Screen Options (top right corner of your page) to activate it. Then select the post and page modules to include them. Then you ought to be able to go here > Dashboard > All Posts > Posts and locate the post and recover it from post revisions.

It sounds like you created an Aside rather than a standard post. I never ever use http://wordpress.com/#!/post/ on the main page of WordPress.com because it creates Asides and Asides are post formats. They don't have Titles and can't have Categories assigned to them.

Aside – These are brief snippets of text that aren’t quite whole blog posts. Useful for quick thoughts and anecdotes http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-formats/

You ought to be able to go here > Dashboard > All Posts > Posts and locate the post. If it's not there then look in your Drafts. Edit the post and add your video to it and even change the post format to a Standard post format.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/

Standard – Your normal, average, everyday blog post. This is the default styling for your theme.

I made a post last night and it is not displaying properly. The title does not appear on the page, and the tags are missing from the notes at the end of the post. When I open it in edit mode the post appears normal, and the correct title appears on the list of recent posts.

I also made another post today, titled "test post", and that is displaying correctly.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Pam
