Ah, expanding lists... I know that someone wrote a post about this, but I believe it required the CSS upgrade to do it. Will see if I can find the forum discussion and will post back here.

From that same Support Doc

By default, the shortcode will produce an index/listing of all published posts on your blog. You can use multiple shortcodes on one post/page and also add it to a Text Widget for use in your sidebar.

Unless you've only published a very few posts, I can't see readers wanting to scroll down through a long list of Post titles in a sidebar.

In addition to the Archives Widget, you could also highlight your favorite posts in a text widget (handcrafted links) or use the Top Posts widget (auto refreshes to your daily popular posts),

Have you tried the Archives widget? It's not quite what you want but it may suffice > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/archives-widget/

We also have an Archives shortcode you can use on s static page > http://en.support.wordpress.com/archives-shortcode/

Is it possible to have the post titles listed in the archive SIDEBAR(not main content area)? All Blogger sites seem to do this, however I cannot find a wordpress theme that does this and would really like the ability to do so.

An example of what I mean would be if someone clicked on April 2010, the sidebar would expand to list all the titles of posts from that month

thanks in advance,
