You're welcome.

I'd like to relieve you of any anxiety you feel about this.
The global tags pages now referred to as Topics have been broken for a long time perhaps due those legions who spam it and who try to game it everyday day in and day out. Staff decided to focus on integrating the topic browsing experience with the Reader and to discontinue the old listings.

The flow of traffic from the Topics pages to blogs is negligible. The flow of traffic from Google and other search engine is significant.

Search spiders are focused on keywords found in content. Tags are not required for SEO purposes and Matt Cutts of Google makes that clear Revisiting Keywords and Tags

These 5 videos introduce how Google discovers, crawls, indexes your site’s pages, and how Google displays them in search results. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2010/03/22/5google-webmasters-video-tutorials/

Need a short introduction to the basic elements that make your website attractive to search engines? Don’t know what search engine optimization is? Know someone who needs easy to understand overview of SEO? That’s what these videos provide, in three minutes. http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/10/21/two-seo-videos-for-bloggers/

All right. There were indeed 15 tags and one category on those posts, the total of them being over the 15 limit. (Did not knew about this rule. Thanks guys for letting me know.)

However, I removed a couple tags and re-posted (time updated as if posted today) and it still does NOT show up in the Topics search.

What else could it be?

There is a limit to the number of tags and categories you can use per post. I am not aware of what the number is now, because I read staff had upped it to 15, but then the last post by one of the "happiness engineers" said 10. From what I understand, this is a method they have been using to try and block spam from the Topics pages.

Hello,

I've just noticed that my recent posts on my WordPress.com blog are no longer indexed in the Topics search feature. But I am still doing the very same thing (i.e. add category and tags to each post) as I did until three days ago (that's when my posts were still searchable through the Topics search).

Does anything changed on the WordPress.com side?

Or is it possible that I turned off the feature by mistake? (If so, how?)

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!
