I followed the Help instructions. When I put in my requests, the message says because of my upgrades (domain name) my request has been sent to customer support and they will contact me. I've never gotten an email even though I've put in these requests several times.

The domain URLs are annblakewriter.com / anneblakewriter.wordpress.com and lilabarton.com / lilabarton.wordpress.com

Are your trying to map your WordPress.com blogs to domains that you already own? If so then have you followed this process to purchase domain mapping upgrades? http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/
If you have done that then have you followed through with all the steps required to map an existing domain (one you already own) to your WordPress.com blog. http://support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/map-existing-domain/
