I have selected the no header image option, but the original header image (toy camera) still won't go away. For weeks there was no header image -- just as I liked -- but today it just popped up out of nowhere and now won't do what I tell it to. Mysterious.

Look at the popup in the footer of your theme please. It appears that Themes Staff could be making some unannounced improvements to the theme. I have tagged this thread so it's moved to the themes Forum where Themes Staff can respond to this.
