No, those aren't accurate terms at all for you. The accurate term for a person who link drops on technical support blogging forums is spammer. and anyone who would trust a legal practitioner with property conveyance when he is indeed a spammer would be correctly labeled fool.

They only allow you to ping your site once a day. When you do, they have a vast amount of Categories were you can ping them too.

Categories and tags are treated the same way by search engines. They are keyword terms that are indexed by search engines, just as the keyword terms in the titles, subtitles and bofd of your posts are indexed. When potential readers type for example "Michigan sports" into search engines then those indexed blog posts that do have that category/tag assigned to them will appear in search results.
