You can add only specific identifiable people as official contributors to your blog. <a href="http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/" rel="nofollow">http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/</a>  You cannot add every human being in the world who happens to be online as contributors to your blog. </p>
<p>What you are describing is more like a <a href="http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2011/06/13/whats-a-wiki/">Wiki</a> or a Forum than it is like a blog.  We cannot embed Wikis or Forums into free hosted WordPress.com blogs. We can register a free one on the internet and link to it from our blog in a <a href="http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/">custom menu</a> by adding a <a href="http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-custom-links">custom link</a> to it.

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Is there a way, without sending individual e-mails, to allow the 'public' to be users whose role is contributor?<br />
Please advise. I do plan to issue e-mails to friends as either authors or contributors. I would like my blog to be open to the public for posting as well as commenting.
